PROJECT
We were in charge of the interior design and construction of OKB Partners Community Square, a business office designed to support the independence of people with disabilities and contribute to the community.
The facility will be used not only as a work space for people with disabilities, but also as a community space where local governments, educational institutions, and companies employing people with disabilities can interact to create and expand employment.
Based on the concept of "seamless," the space is designed to be comfortable for everyone, regardless of disability. The communal space, which incorporates many wood tones, is bright and open, taking advantage of natural light. To ensure a sense of security for both visitors and workers, partitions with a wide glass surface are used to secure visibility and prevent distractions.
The main wall in the center symbolically represents trees as "people" and greenery as "society," and the interactions and growth between the two. In the free space, triangle tables are arranged to accommodate meetings, seminars, and other multipurpose events.
In addition, the "Art of the people with disabilities" exhibition space is designed to disseminate their talents and support the expansion of their activities.
